Achieving Welding Success: Jo-Vanya Nathan
Achieving Welding Excellence: Jo-Vanya Nathan’s Journey at NZWTS
When I enrolled at NZ Welding, Trades and Services (NZWTS), my goal was to learn how to weld and become a skilled fabricator. I began at Level 3 with only about 20% confidence in my abilities. Now, as a Level 4 student, my confidence has soared to around 60-70%, and I am incredibly proud of this progress. My proudest achievement is the confidence I’ve gained and mastering the various joint types in welding. Understanding the theory is crucial, but being able to weld confidently is equally important.
My advice to new students starting Welding Level 4 is to always attend your classes and practice diligently until you perfect your skills. It’s also essential to listen to your tutors, as they are the experts, and to apply everything you learn.
I am thrilled to have chosen NZWTS. I’ve met amazing people and I am now much closer to achieving my goals.
