I decided to give New Zealand Welding Trades and Services (NZWTS) a go because I wanted to learn more about welding, set up a home workshop, and land a well-paying job. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made!

My confidence was pretty high when I started Level 3, but now that I’m in Level 4, it’s gone through the roof! The progress I’ve made at NZWTS is amazing – I can really feel the difference.

One of my proudest achievements in Level 4 is mastering horizontal, vertical up, and overhead welding. It’s so satisfying to see those smooth welds! I’ve even started making things at home, like some garden bits and bobs. It’s brilliant to see my skills put to use in real life.

To anyone thinking about joining NZWTS, here’s my advice: show up, keep practicing, and give it your all. Trust me, you’ll get there before you know it!
